IHBG Leveraging Finance Program (LFP) The IHBG Leveraging Finance Program (LFP) helps tribes stretch their Native American Housing and Self Determination Act (NAHASDA) funding. LFP allows tribes to use their Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) funds to attract outside capital from private lenders and, thus, support larger housing and community development projects. A portion of the tribe’s IHBG funds are then pledged to repay the debt. Training Opportunities Please visit the Training Registration site for important information on hotel accommodations and booking information. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has designed this 2-day workshop with hands-on exercises and case studies to provide the building blocks of sustainable native economies, including: comprehensive and strategic planning, institutional development, legal frameworks, capital leveraging, and economic diversification.
